Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Innovatek di Cafaro Carmelina for the use of Workio.

Last updated: 18 May 2026 · Version: 1.0

Important: Workio creates non-fiscal business documents (quotes, proformas, receipts, contracts and so on). It is not an electronic invoicing tool for the Italian SdI or any other tax administration. It does not replace your accountant.

1. Parties and acceptance

These terms ("Terms") govern the use of the Workio Android app and the website at workio-app.com (together, the "Service") provided by:

Innovatek di Cafaro Carmelina ("we", "us")
P.IVA / VAT: 06424410659
Email: legal@workio-app.com

By installing the app, creating an account or using the website you ("you") accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. The Workio service

Workio is an Android application that lets you create, manage and export business documents — quotes, proforma invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery notes, price lists, account statements and similar items — as PDF files. The core experience runs entirely on your device. The Service may include optional cloud features:

  • Shareable links so your customer can view and sign a document online;
  • Encrypted cloud backup of your local database;
  • Validation of the Workio Pro subscription you purchase through Google Play.

The cloud features require you to sign in with a Google account.

3. Account and login

Cloud features require a Workio account, which is created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account safe. You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age allowed in your country, to create a Workio account.

4. Free and Pro plans

4.1 Free plan

Workio Free can be used without any account and without payment. It is subject to the limits described on the pricing page (currently 5 documents per month, three base templates, local-only export).

4.2 Workio Pro

Workio Pro is a paid subscription that removes those limits and unlocks the cloud features described in section 2. The price, the renewal period and any free trial are shown to you inside the app before you confirm the purchase.

4.3 Billing through Google Play

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Google through Google Play Billing. The terms of sale, payment, renewal and refund of Google Play apply in full to that transaction. We receive only the subscription status (active, expired, on hold, refunded) from Google. To manage or cancel your subscription, use the Google Play app on your device.

4.4 Statutory rights and refunds

Where you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the rights granted by Directive 2011/83/EU and its national implementations. Refunds and cancellations of the subscription itself are handled by Google according to Google Play policy. We will support you in dealing with Google if a refund request relates to a malfunction of the Workio Service.

5. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Workio Android app for your own business or personal use, in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

  • Resell, sublicense or distribute the app or any part of it;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
  • Use the Service for fraudulent, illegal or abusive purposes;
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages or to impersonate another person or entity;
  • Bypass technical limits (e.g. the document quota on the Free plan).

6. Your content

The documents, customer records, products, logos and other content you create or upload through the Service ("Your Content") remain yours. You retain all intellectual-property rights in Your Content.

To operate the cloud features you choose to use, you grant us a limited licence to host, transmit and display Your Content as strictly needed for those features (for example, to deliver a shared document to its recipient). This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use Your Content and that it complies with applicable law.

7. Disclaimer of fiscal scope

Workio produces non-fiscal documents in generic PDF format. In particular:

  • Workio does not generate electronic invoices in the XML format required by the Italian Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) or by any other tax administration;
  • Workio does not handle long-term legal archiving (conservazione sostitutiva) of fiscal documents;
  • Workio does not compute taxes, social-security contributions, withholding taxes or any other regulated amount;
  • Workio does not replace a tax advisor or an electronic-invoicing platform.

If you are required by law to issue fiscal invoices, you must do so through a compliant provider. Workio complements that workflow — for quotes, proformas, reminders, receipts — but does not replace it.

8. Warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, uninterrupted operation and security beyond the measures described in the Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, our aggregate liability towards you under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability — or, if you only used the Free plan, to €50.

We are not liable for the content of documents you create through Workio, for the correctness of the amounts shown on them, or for any consequence of your customer's failure to pay them.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and, where applicable, deleting your account from inside the app or by writing to us.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, if continuing to provide the Service would expose us to legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to export Your Content.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence within the European Union. Disputes are submitted to the competent court of the place where Innovatek di Cafaro Carmelina has its registered seat, unless mandatory rules grant you a different forum.

For consumers in the European Union, the European Commission offers an online dispute-resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or in the law. Material changes will be announced inside the app or by email. If you do not accept the new version you can stop using the Service and, where applicable, cancel your Workio Pro subscription through Google Play.
